British Airways have introduced two new fare brands, Select and Select Pro, in response the current challenging environment business travellers find themselves in. Having recognised the importance of allowing our clients the flexibility and peace of mind when booking, British Airways were delighted to announce the launch of the fares from the 24th February 2021.
Both Select and Select Pro are refundable fares, which will allow our clients the flexibility to cancel a flight and claim a full or partial refund should your travel plans change. In addition, there will also be no change fee payable for Select and Select Pro bookings. This means there is no fee charged for any change in your travel plans. However, the fares cost from £50 extra on a short-haul return ticket and from £100 more on a long-haul return ticket in comparison with BA’s Standard/Plus fares and there is a fee is on Select fares if cancelled.
The Select and Select Pro fares are available to book now, exclusively via the GDS or NDC, which means Gray Dawes Travel clients can access the new fares today, directly via our online booking tool, YourTrip. These fares are exclusively available to TMCs, therefore cannot be booked via normal consumer facing channels. They will sit alongside the current Basic, Standard/Plus and Fully Flexible fares, and will enhance the suite of fare options available to suit your different budgets and flexibility needs.
Mark Muren, head of British Airways Global Sales, said: “We have launched these fares in response to the challenging environment we find ourselves in.
We recognise that our trade partners want flexibility when they book with us, and we hope that today’s launch gives them even more options to achieve this, with the choice to refund a ticket should their customers’ plans change.”
Available for both long-haul and short-haul bookings, these fares are being launched in alignment with British Airways’ Atlantic Joint Business partners American Airlines, Iberia and Finnair for transatlantic routes, allowing you to book on these carriers too.
