United flies up to 24 daily flights from Edinburgh and London Heathrow to 7 U.S. cities including Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington D.C. with connections to over 270 destinations across the Americas. United has features, amenities, and products for every kind of traveller from basic and United Economy to United Premium Plus and the United Polaris business class.
United Airlines Cabins
United Economy Plus & United Economy
Customers can also purchase United Economy PlusSM seating, where they’ll enjoy up to 6 inches (15 centimetres) of extra legroom located near the front of the United Economy cabin.

- Stay connected with United Wi-Fi (available for purchase on most aircraft).
United Premium Plus
Seats are closer to the front of the plane and offer additional leg and elbow room and reclining space. They’re also made of plush material and have bonus features such as adjustable leg and foot rests, an individual power outlet and a USB charger.
On select long-haul international flights, customers receive upgraded dining options, complimentary alcoholic beverages, a larger inflight entertainment screen, noise-reducing headphones and Saks Fifth Avenue bedding.
United Polaris Business Class
United Polaris lounges are available exclusively to international premium cabin travellers at select airports and offer signature seating, a relaxation area and showers. At airports that don’t have a United Polaris lounge, customers can visit the United Club locations there.

United Airlines App
The all-in-one travel partner just keeps getting better and it’s a must for anyone travelling on United. Customers can check in for their flight, receive their boarding pass and pay for bags ahead of time. The app features airport maps with easy to navigate terminal guides, so if you’re after a specific lounge, or looking for the closest route to your gate, the app will get you there.
Passengers can change their seats, or their flights if something better becomes available. If passengers have an issue, Agent on Demand is available on the app, allowing passengers to talk, text or video chat with an agent with any concerns about their trip.
Once onboard, the app also allows passengers to watch movies, play games or pay for inflight snacks and drinks while in the air.
United became the first U.S. airline to allow Live Activities for iPhone users, which provides real-time flight status updates and more right from the lock screen, so you never even need to open the app.
United Airlines Lounges & Clubs
The United Airlines network includes more than 45 United Club locations, six United Polaris lounges, and partner lounges.
United Polaris Lounges
United PolarisSM lounges are available exclusively to our international premium cabin travellers in Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington D.C and offer signature seating, a relaxation area and showers.
Freshen up at the spa-like shower facilities, featuring TheraFace products made exclusively for United by Therabody. Visit the private rest area with daybeds, soft lighting, and gentle white noise and enjoy food from the buffet or a sit-down meal in the private dining space.

Want a break from the hustle and bustle of the airport concourse?
United Club locations and partner lounges offer free snacks and beverages, high-speed Wi-Fi and more. The extensive worldwide network of lounges includes more than 45 United Club locations.
United Wi-Fi
Coming soon – Starlink Wi-Fi
United customers will soon enjoy the same high-speed, low-latency inflight Wi-Fi in the air that they enjoy on the ground. The new, gate-to-gate connectivity will unlock game-changing experiences in the sky which will provide free access to live TV and streaming services, social media, shopping, gaming and more, on seatback screens and personal devices simultaneously.
United expects to have Starlink on all United aircraft – more than 1,000 planes – over the next several years. Testing begins in early 2025 with the first passenger flights expected later that year.

Access personal streaming services and watch live TV, shows and movies without buffering, lag or the need to download content in advance.

* United Wi-Fi features a portal that offers flight information, destination weather reports and free access to united.com, and the ability to purchase internet access on select flights. If you purchase internet access, you can check email, use previously downloaded apps or browse the internet. United Wi-Fi pricing will vary. Customers can also activate free messaging plan on all Wi-Fi-equipped aircraft (Except select 757s, 767s and 787s. SMS messages can’t be sent or received because they can only be sent over a cellular network.) The plan allows you to send and receive text messages over Wi-Fi (such as iMessage, WhatsApp, etc.)

Onboard
United’s Therabody collaboration includes wellness products across the entire travel experience – in United Polaris lounges, onboard United Polaris business class and online for United MileagePlus® members to earn miles on purchases.
Travellers will receive a reusable belt bag made with recycled plastic. Inside their self care kit they will find: eye serum, face spray, cleansing towelette, hand cream and exclusive to United customers as well as the must-haves. They can also relax with new wellness videos on the airline’s Inflight Entertainment screens.

MileagePlus is your ticket to the world, with the most ways to earn and use miles of any U.S. airline loyalty program. Earn miles when you fly, through hotels and vacation rentals, car rentals and when you use partner credit cards. Then use your miles for your next getaway, upgrades, shopping and more.
Discover MileagePlus miles pooling – a new way for MileagePlus members to contribute and combine their miles into a joint account. United allows any MileagePlus member – whether relatives or close friends up to a group of five members can now share and redeem miles in one linked account.
